To the guy who keeps on saying prices will increase posting "diva miss the boat" and smileys all over the place: stop your crap. you are so full of shit its not even funny. And to prove it you have never been able to concretely debate your stance as to why the property price will maintain / increase from current levels.

All those who keep saying price will increase / maintain have been unable to justify their claims by using proper NON LOCAL news sources, quoting bank analysis statements, or even giving a detailed account as to why, economically, the price would increase / maintain. All major banks (Credit Suisse / UBS) have recently pulled out of Singapore property market. Prices are gonna fall and you know it. And when they do get prepared to take it from where the sun don't shine.

Don't know leh. Only local news paper says market maybe will fall. Non local news sources only say non local market property will fall. Non local news never say local property market will fall or not. So don't know whether you know what you are talking about or not?? Confused

Here's my 2-cents worth:

The amount of household debt in Singapore is ~ 160bn

The value of unsold properties in pipeline is ~ 45bn

IRAS recorded 61bn in taxable income in 2007, so proportion of income against current and future debt is around 30%, which is a very healthy financial situation. This has not even accounted for foreign investment taking up some of the unsold properties.

Hence, it is very unlikely that the property market will be in distress unless incomes start falling significantly.
