And Stock market recovery ? U kidding me? Just looking at today's number you make the conclusion ? See how many thousands of people are stuck now with their stocks and cant wait to get rid of them. You think stock market recovers in the long run ?

I am just curious what benefit these people get from talking-up the market when in reality the property boom is already over since the removal of Deferred Payment Scheme and the end of enbloc fever. If you still dream of booming prices, I would advise you to just keep your units to rot. Shocked Shocked Shocked

Hello followers.. failure like you know nothing about stock somemore try to act like smart investor hah!! Laughing

Stock market is just like properties.. in a long run, the high is always a record high.. the low, never lower than the previous record low.
If STI at 28XX level is a recession.. meaning for the past 30 over years S'pore was all the while in recession lah!! Laughing

We're in the eye of the storm. A wall built from paper is never strong. They are trying hard to make people believe that the paper wall is holding up but it's all just a big illusion which will not survive the vicious cycle of revelations soon to come.

With prices falling, more would-be buyers have decided to rent.

Ron Shuffield, president of Esslinger-Wooten-Maxwell Realtors in Miami, said three-quarters of all transactions in the past few months were for rentals and the rest were for home sales, a reversal of historical trends.

Abbott, the condo owner in Las Vegas, is asking a monthly rent of $2,300, down from the $3,500 he had originally wanted.

"It's empty at the moment," Abbott said. "We'd intended to rent it, but the timing, of course, was bad."

His broker, Bruce Hiatt of the Luxury Realty Group in Las Vegas, said there was no shortage of interested buyers -- but none had decided to buy.

"They're all waiting for the magic bottom," he said.

Guys, things are looking really bad. I bought in Aug07 in Balmoral area at what I thought was a steal at 1250 psf. Took possession in December and have been looking for rental for the last 3mths after spending 25k on renovation. No takers so far even at a rate which doesnt cover my interest cost. Asked agent to look for buyer also, getting no interest above 1050psf. Does it make sense to get out and buy property stocks instead since they have actually fallen 40-50% ? I am told that stocks will recover and property prices will fall with a lag. Any advice pl.

It's very obvious when TOP comes, it's time to pay up. Anyway at this rate nobody is going to buy the Million dollar pigeon hole.

Time for the Speculators / Flippers to do their Maths hold or offload. Wink

Yes, time is really bad, for the past 6mths I'm trying to rent out my unit but no takers. If things get worse I've just have to let go my Executive HDB and move in to my condo. Crying or Very sad
