If there's a moderator or administrator here, can you please put this as sticky in order to make this forum more meaningful for viewers especially tenant looking for room or flat.
I had been looking for a whole unit for some time and found out that some agent miss some essential information like contact number and asking price. This information is important for tenant to evaluate whether to view the property, for example I had been calling some agent asking for the price and later found out that this is over my budget. If I knew this is over my budget I would not even call to waste both of our time. Some post even weird, provide everything about the property and then there's no contact number or even email address to contact them so how do you expect us to find you? Through the directory?
Anyway just to sum up I would like to propose to everyone intended to post ad to this forum, PLEASE includes to the following,
1. Name (if agent agency name) .
2. Contact number
3. Location of the property
4. No of room and bath room
5. Asking price (negotiability)
6. Available date
7. Brief description about the property such as the nearest MRT, condition of the property (fully fursnished)
8. Picture is most welcome as this will provide some idea for viewers as to what we expect.
Anyone have any more idea to make this forum more attractive please post your reply here.
Further to add, I think for certain topics/headers. Let registered users to post rather than just Guest. Is free anyway. Would not take long to register?
I find this forum useful, but chaotic bcause of GUEST posting.
To platinum:
This is a good suggestion. It will be a tough call, though.
For one, as you might have experienced, many of the functions are built with ease of navigation and posting in mind. I want to create a forum that is easy to understand and use for everyone, and I believe this is one reason of sg-house.com's success to becoming a major real estate classifieds site in Singapore.
On the other hand, like you have mentioned, enforcing user registration will definitely help getting the postings to be more in order.
For now, I personally think that allowing guest post is the better option between the two.
Still, this is a suggestion that I will keep in mind when we do a major upgrade in the future. Feedbacks from other users will of course shape the decision.
