What's the point in such a post? Trying to upset the balance is our almost perfect and harmonious industry? Try harder. In a flash, this post will be down in the barrels, with no chance of reprieve. Spend your time doing something more constructive like making money or babies. Good luck. |

In the first place, how do you quantify that the complaints listed are of me? LOL. My friend, I am simply stating facts, and you, rubbish. Refer to the last para of my earlier post of making good use of you time. You fall under that category. LOL |

Hi Guest, I guess you have bad encounters with agents. for example my agents very delicated and hardworking agents. You should understand that agents are working full time in their line whilst you are engaging their services. Dun tell me that you whilst working, do not have a bad day or bad attitude at times?
Agents charge accordingly even though there are some agents from smaller local company over charging. 1% and 2% might seen alot to you but when you made money 5 figures and above from your sales proceedings, did you kick up a fuss? I guess not. Try not to disrupt the balance here.

I am an agent. It is really hard to charge 1% or more these days. My clients bargain and there are other agents that charge much lower.
I think clients should appreciate that agents' fees are getting more competitive. Therefore, they should not be too picky with us.
Cannot really make tens of thousands per month. Just a few thousand, already very tough. |

Wa, got 11 and 12! Well done! Come agents, let's turn the tides around now. Add more add more!!!
I add one more!
13) I hate it when agents have to call here and there to satisfy both sides just to make a viewing, only to get canceled by either side. Don't you know it's a tedious affair? |

| Don't we all hate agents? |

I totally agree. We should hate all property agents. The job is not meant for humans and its really a demoralizing and downgrading job which is rank next to... hmmmm.. a cleaner? No no.. cleaner takes more pride in their job... it should be next to nothing? what a sadist life you all have.. you hate your job cos u need to be punctual? hate it cos you earn so little? (why am I not suprise, I'm also only earning few thousands a month) Let's change the list then:
1. I LOVE it that they charge so little commission. They should charge tenants more. Let's then change the regulation that all agents will have to pay 10% commission to another agent to sell your house. Agents should not be allowed to sell their own house. Which means you have more income? isn't this great.
2. I LOVE it that they are usually punctual and late most of the time
3. I LOVE it that they have to spend so much effort arranging viewings only to get canceled by insensitive tenants who has no confidence in them at all
4. I LOVE it that they have to waste petrol on a daily basis so that they can ramp their accelerator while everyone is working in the office.
5. I LOVE it that they they have to put up with random rants about them in this forum and self inflate their sadist live
6. I LOVE it that people are trying to break their rice bowl with giving due consideration on how unprofessional they can be
7. I LOVE it that some of them earn 40 to 50k per month so that they have enough to brush up their ego and speak loudly in Hokkien
8. I LOVE it that they are still so nice to tenants despite some of them view room like machiam buying the house
9. I LOVE it that they accept it when tenants try to bargain commission, despite IEA's ruling that 12 months or more is 1 and less than 12 months is 0.5.
10. I LOVE agents because their ego is bigger than their head.
Should we continue with 11, 12 and 13???
Agent... Salute!! You guys has the worse job in the entire universe that no one actually appreciate your existence and think that you are all nothing but rats and money face with no pride to think about. Only left is self pity and self indulgence just remind me of my mentally ill grandmother
Yes! You are survival! Long live xiao qiang! |

Guest5, you need to wake up. Why bring your grandmother into this? LOL...
Again, you belong to the category of people who need to make better use of their time. It's sad that you can openly declare that you only earn a "few thousand bucks". If I were you, I'd bury my head in dung.
Well, as you can see, not all agents speak loudly in Hokkien. I for one, happen to rather proficient in the English language. If anything, you look like you could speak good Hokkien with your horrible sentence structuring
I say you show some respect to this profession, as it takes real men to step out of their comfort zone and strike it out on their own, SALARIED EMPLOYEE.
How sad, confined to your small measly pigeon hole (I'm ASS-U-ming that you are not managerial level yet b'cos of your pay, and that you don't have your own office) Well anyway, the time outside we have is ours, and while you're hard at work earning your quids, we are outside having coffee or even sleeping away.
If it's your intention to come in here and show that you equate your grandmother to a -censored- (that's the feeling I get LOL), then I say save it. Heard of filial piety? Your grandmother must be damn sad...pls do not let her find out about you. You know, old folks and bad news do not gel.
Come on, let's hear it for nos. 11,12 and 13 Einstein. |

| I find it really amazing how a person in a service industry can be so hostile. Yes indeed, you are proficient in English language but you are truly lacking in character. I have no unprejudiced against agents. After reading your postings above, I don't think I ever want to deal with an agent like you ever. |

If the agents have so many rants and grudge about tenants and owners , why are they still working as agents? obviously they need that job and they are earning enough to keep it going. Just how many are there that do it because they love their job scope.. all of them jump in because of the property boom, untrained, rude, hokkien ah bengs who just want your money.
If you still want to keep that job, please do it properly like a sales service line. keep it professional .. please dont disgrace yourself and your company. I have agent who call non-stop 10 times in a row and speak so loud like a construction worker. If your client cant pick up the phone, wouldn't it be common sense to call back later or leave a msg? |

Getting personal already I see? Quite frankly, I could not understand half of what you just rambled. Until you you learn to speak like a human being, I'd suggest you go back to school. You know, it's very important how you put yourself across to someone, and you my friend, are lacking in this department. Back to basics ... |

I do get the sense that there are a loy out there who envy the earning power if agents but dare not take the plunge yourself. Tsk tsk shame on you for stereo typing against construction workers. Not all are loud and uncouth.
LOL, you contradict yourself. If you didn't answer the phone for 10 times, how did you know they spoke in a "loud like construction worker manner?" LOL...gosh, want to wayang, also wayang properly? |
