Some robbers also "earn" millions per year.

MINISTERS, TIME TO LOWER AGENTS' COMM TO 0.25-0.5%. They are getting more arrogant as property goes up. They actually think they are some kind of smart entrepneuers when they are just simple SALESMEN lucky enough to be at the right place & at the right time.

Michael Owen play football, he know nothing except putting the ball inside the net, and yet he earned million pound per year! He is just simple FOOTBALLER lucky enough to be at the right place & at the right time!

Mr, do u know what is the difference btw success and failure -- that is "at the right place & at the right time"

So, I can assume that u r a failure in yr life because u r always "at the wrong place & at the wrong time"
Very Happy

Low class property agent wants to talk to me about "success"? You are not qualified. How long you think you can earn this kind of money now & that is if you are at all capable?

You will never know about me. But 1 thing i know about you: you are materialistic by judging material wealth as a success. People like you are mostly not successful because successful people usually are not interested in money anymore because they already have money! Remember, after all one cannot bring money to the next world.

i answered with this: "Agents are already like monkeys. 0.25% not peanuts."

Why so emoptional over whether people call u high or low class? Be not conscious about whether one is "higher" than the other, for this would make you become more & more "Low Class". "Low class" people always try to be "better" or rather MORE VAIN than the other & usually end up poorer & even destitute.

I'm just conveying a meaning, so keep your emotions stable. All i want to say is: Real estate agents commission are TOO MUCH causing a flood of unncessary agents. Signs or proof are like when an agent does not get a deal after 6 months, so pitiful.

I think best not to pay comm to agents. Instead compensate their work by paying an agreed fees.

I am a buyer and am willing to pay commission if my agent is punctual, meticulous and professional. But the seller's agent also want me to pay their 1% and they are not the one to handle my paperwork. Must I end up paying 2%? Agents, please explain.

One agent emailed me:
To buy a flat, I must have at least $30000 in my CPF, $20000 cash to pay the COV, $5000 to handle agent's fee.

I fainted.

He added : A word of advice, if you pay peanuts, you will only attract monkey

Instead of asking whether I'm a 1st-timer etc....

I guess for him, now that COV is lowering, he might just end up being the monkey.

I am still looking for a good agent, I'm willing to pay the 1%.

And not 1% for the seller's agent, cos it's like consulting 1 doctor and paying double consultation fee.

im a home buyer, got a flat in mind, found it myself....i have no agent. went to the house and talked to the agent. i agree to buy but he say i must pay him 1%!! why??....i am doing my own paperwork...so why am i paying him?...i did my own research, found my own house. he says its law. the thing is as far as i know its not law.
and unless i sign contract with him i dont have to pay him right?

so how aah?...id rather use the money for my family rather than give an agent for nothing

Every buyer knew that if he brought the flat through an agent, he had to pay 1% commission, this is a standard rule. It is the same as if u eat in the restaurant, u have to pay 10% service charge even though sometimes u dont get any service at all and worse still u get lousy service. So, if u dont want to pay agent fee, yes, u can by going directly to house owner! It is the same as if u dont want to pay 10% service charge, dont go to restaurant, go hawker centre!
Yet, u want to deal with agent but u dont want to pay him, this show how inconsiderate u r! Agent also need to get paid!

i searched for this house myself, you dog of an agent, BUYERS beware. i did my own homework, and my own effort, 8 months of walking and researching, bloody agent , why should i deal with him, the owner pays him, i found out there is no such thing as law. I dealt with the owner infront of the agent, i told them both that i am not paying the damn agent.
you MOFO's think 1% easy to earn isit?....buyers take note, this agent business is really dirty, dont let them con you, if you went and did your own homework you DO NOT HAVE TO PAY THESE AGENTS ONE CENT. Dont talk to me about hawker centre and what not, this is my right and my choice, if it was law then so be it. but in the end i have a choice and i exercised it. for all buyers, be patient and dont fall for these agents traps. Usual bullshit is oh we have another interested buyer...blah...blah..blah..have patience, take a yr or more to look for the house ..save your money for your family and not for these blood suckers.

Agents also need to get paid??...i feed your family isit ?...my problem ?..this is not about consideration, this is about what is right. IF i engage any service of course i pay, but in this instance, what service did the damn agent give me? did he bring me ghouse after house toi see? no! this is the house owners agent so his own damn problem. not mine.
