That's a very sweeping and condescending statement. It only shows how shallow you are. Can't Janet have her own time doing other things? Posting online is also a form of prospecting, and she has not done anything wrong, so just cut her some slack. Just because you had been spurned by some rouge agents in the past, does not mean all agents are the same. It would be stereotypical of you.
If you are not engaging an agent, so be it. No one is forcing you. Just don't get onto the wrong side of the law. There are ways in which to implicate a person, both tenant and landlord, should their 'contract' go awry. Don't say We agents didn't warn you. You think stamping for room is not required> Think again I urge you. With agents, there will be a 3rd party ie witness. Should the case be brought to the courts, we can be subpoena to court. But if you so choose to go ahead without an agent assuming everything will be fine and dandy, I'm think you are sadly mistaken. Do not be penny wise, pound foolish. |
