Interesting to see so many feirce notes. The price will fall for sure but it will take a while before it reaches the bottom. Best time to buy is 2-3 years time and that's also the time closer to Singapore election.

For those who are buying to stay, there are already some reasonable deals out there but if you want the developers to drop too much, that's impossible, only for small developers may be but usually apartments with no full condo facilities. The bigger developers are willing to hold till TOP as they have already got the funding last year from all the folks who brought high.

For those investors who brought high last year and still hold them...too bad, prices will have to be slashed for less profit else they will have problem with the financing once it reach TOPs. One Amber, Seaview are good examples. It will be good if a rich dummy home stayer come along and buy from them and they might still earn a big profit. It's still possible as they are really quite a lot of home stayers out there who can't wait and just want to own a property.

For people who just have to sell now because they need to shift for example their children..too bad...market is bad. Most people already own a house and they are not so keen to invest now unless they really have no place to stay. Don't sell if you can as most buyers will not pay you good $$.

It's bear market for private properties now. HDB still have demand as it's subsidised by government for new couples who need a place to stay.

Whether you call the economy a downward cycle, a low period or a crash; it means the same thing: property price is very likely going to fall! That's good reason enough not to buy. And that itself is good reason why property price will indeed fall.
