LOT OF JTC HOUSES AVAILABLE ($1000 to $1250) Grab now fast

I had noticed a few houses for rent posted in JTC website.

Please visit www.jtc.gov.sg . The price varies from $1000 ( 3 room) and $1250 ( 4 Room flat).

Although the apartment is unfurnished, you can save a lot of money.

Simple calculation as follows:

If you are opting to buy JTC house

1. You are saving 1/2 month agent fees i.e if you are renting a flat for 1400 to 1500. you are saving minimum 700 dollars as agents fees for this you can buy a second hand sofa set + two bed and a dining table. Pls visit efair webist for good second hand items or visit ebay or mocca.

2. If you are opting to go for a Aircon and a TV, it would cost you maximum of $ 500 for both. good second hand aircon can be found in aircold services(# 67585555).

on the whole you would be saving minimum $2400 dollars for the whole year. Please note this is not a actual figure you can save. some might be little less and some may be high.

On the whole the main advantages of JTC is that:

1. Save agent fees.
2. avaid the trouble created by land lord and agent
3. you can have your own house with your liking for a year or two.
4. no extenal disturbances.

Where exactly do I get this information? Checked out the web add you gave and I see none.

u must go to www.jtc.gov.sg and then click on products and then ready built. from there chooose apartments and then availability of rental.

ALl JTC houses do not have air con nor furnishing.
ALl JTC houses only allow singaporean or PR to rent.
Tenants will hav to pay $50 for each viewing of each house. whether or not you rent the place.
and the person in charge cannot get through one.
i rather get an agent to settle everything for me sia.

first get the information right before you bust your ass out.

1. JTC houses allows foriegners to purchase as well
2. If you want to aviod the $50, go to the house and look from outside.

If you go thru agent think of the risk taken rather than spending $ 50 dollars.

I agree with the anonymous statement above. Butone house available today is not seen in the picture on the other day. So need to act fast. for me i am also looking a house (2 room) nearby Tampines / Pasir Ris.

these are only for foreigners earning a monthly income of $2500 and above?

of course jtc houses are cheap cos the its been repossessed and then rented out .
And another thing to point out: what do u(the starter of this thread) mean by 2: avoiding trouble created by landlord and agent. As far as I know, if no tenant means no trouble. Usually its tenant making trouble, not landlord.

Says who.... Have you been reading the posts on this website.. there has been a lot of complaints like owners have taken loans from loan sharks and unable to pay the amount.. inturn these guys turn up to thier homes and cause trouble. The best part is owners are not staying in the house and the tenants that are staying are getting affected.

2. Some agents do not come back to you after you have paid the agents fees to them.. I mean only some agents and not all agents. Atleast they must check the tenant once in 3 months or 6 months to make sure everything is well and make the tenant feel that money they have paid the agent is worth it.

3. There has been one post in the past that the owner did not return the deposit to the tenant after the contract expiry and when asked he said he was unable to oay as he is currently unemployed and he is asking the tenant to go to court and sue him.

I have just highlighted a few but there are more cases that owners and agents causes nuisance to the tenants.

However i would also not justify that tenants do not make problem at all. There are also some tenants who do make problem.

agree, one of my friend (foreigner) was cheated, two days after he occupied the house loan sharks came and locked the house. Now he is forced to move out of the house.
